Hello!
Today, students participated in a foot washing exercise in their team times. This practice is at the heart of Anabaptist faith, and is a great occasion for teams to humble themselves and encourage one another. Also, Holy Thursday is the day that Jesus washed his disciples’ feet. Tomorrow, they host barbeques at their ministry assignments and begin debrief. For prayer:
-As the community barbeques happen, let’s pray for families to feel welcomed and cared for by the ministry hosts along with our teams
-As we begin to debrief Friday night, let’s pray for the new things that happened on SOAR to continue into ordinary life back at home
-Many students and leaders are discerning what to do with their summer and beyond. Let’s pray that they would have discernment and wisdom, and make some commitments during SOAR
-We are also inviting students to prayerfully, with their leaders and home community, consider baptism when they return.
